Phone Books and Zombie Tech

by admin on September 26, 2009

Now entering week 4 of crisis management over this website that I agree to maintain. Everyday, multiple messages in the inbox about this, about that. In case you're not getting the hint, that's a mea culpa about the infrequent blogging during the month of September. I don't even want to check my mailbox right now because I know there are messages even though it's freakin' Saturday night.
Anyhow, here is a hilarious story about phone books over at the cracked web site.
As the article notes, 615 million directories were printed last year.
In case you haven't guessed the title of the article is Tech Zombie: 6 Technologies that don't know they're dead.
Considering that phone books make up anywhere from 10% to 30% of municipal landfill according to some estimates.
You know, I hate to say this, but one day someday is going to put forward the argument that those books shoudn't be printed in the first place.
