Layoffs and Bailouts

by admin on December 11, 2008

In the news today (or yesterday I should say), Kodak has announced layoffs of about 90 from it's graphics communication group in Burnaby. Yeah, okay, so sometimes I feel like that guy in Monty Python's Holy Grail who parades through plague-infested towns of England yelling "Bring out the dead! Bring out the dead." Except it's not very funny anymore, if it ever was.

In other news, the plan to bail out the automakers in the Senate just collapsed, but don't worry, that bill is like Frankenstein, it will come back to life and lurch forward once more.

Glad I don’t have any VLF machines. That certainly sucks. We’re currently fighting a set of very sick 4.0.2.5b servers. Kodak has been on site 2 days. Had to do an EPM+ the other day.
